Did You Know?

Installment payments are still being accepted with no deadline due date. The last day to pay without penalty or interest is December 20, 2022. If a payment is late, interest and penalty will be added to your remaining balance.

Before becoming Newton County Commissioner of Taxes, Mr. Jordan worked for 20 years in the Newton County Tax Appraiser’s Office. For twelve of those years he was assistant chief tax appraiser. Mr. Jordan was instrumental in formulating the fair market value of various types of property and in preparing the annual county tax digest. He played a key role in the economic development efforts of the Covington-Newton County Chamber of Commerce, the Industrial Development Authority, and the Joint Development Authority
